Sai Baba was born on 28 September 1835 in Pathri village of Maharashtra. There is no information about their parents. There are 20000 pilgrims daily in the temple of Sai Baba. There are 100,000 pilgrims daily in the days of festivals.

Sai Baba was a fakir. Sai Baba would ask the people of every religion. Because Sai Baba belonged to which religion, nobody knew this. Sai Baba is the only father who can relieve the suffering of his devotees. Sai Baba’s Samadhi, the person who bends his head with complete reverence, Sai Baba removes all his sorrows. The person who is blessed by Sai Baba does not have any problem in life.

Sai Baba has done some such miracles for his devotees, due to which some people consider him a form of Ram and some people consider them as Shyam. People living in Shirdi say that Sai Baba was not an ordinary person, but he had many divine powers.

Sai Baba reached Shirdi village of Ahmednagar at the age of 16. By going to Shirdi they sit under the neem tree and start living austerity life. The village of Shirdi saw them performing rigorous austerities. In the beginning, Sai Baba was in Shirdi for 3 years. After that no idea where they disappeared. Sai Baba came back to Shirdi after 1 year and remained the same forever. In 1858 Sai Baba came to Shirdi again.
Sai Baba died on October 15, 1918 in Shirdi village. At the time of his death, he was 83 years old.

Sai Baba was very pleased of burning fire in temples. He used to take oil daily in free from shop. One day Bania refused to give oil to Sai Baba. Sai Baba returned to the temple and after pouring water in the lamp of the soil burnt the lamps and it started burning.

Once a person named Rai Bahadur came to Shirdi to see Sai Baba with his wife. As soon as both husband and wife returned to Sai Baba’s eyes and started to get very heavy rain. Then Sai Baba prayed to God that rain should be stopped and my devotees should come home well. After this rain stopped.

Once, a 3 year old baby girl, Babu’s child, fell into the well. When the villagers came near the well. That girl was hanging in the air. Like an invisible hand holding that baby.

One day Sai Baba tells his devotee that your farm is going to burn, save your farm from burning. When the person reaches his farm he sees a burning spark. Who was supposed to take the form of a fierce fire. Then the person calls Sai Baba for help. After this Sai Baba speaks of peace by taking water in his hand, due to which the spark is extinguished.

Sai Baba used to burn fire and consume vibhuti. It is still consumed even today. That conscience is considered very important. It is said that if any person has any disease, then by applying that vibhuti their disease disorders are dispelled.

Once a doctor’s nephew had cancer. There was no effect of any treatment on that child. Then the doctor took the child to Sai Baba. Sai Baba fixed the cancer of that child with his vibhuti.
