The festival ofHanuman Jayanti is celebrated on the occasion of the birth of Hanuman, a devotee of Shri Ram. On this day Hanuman ji is worshiped according to the law. According to the scriptures, Hanuman ji was born on the full moon of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. Hanuman ji is said to be the most influential deity in Kalyug. According to the scriptures, Hanuman ji will remain on the earth till the end of Kalyug. Lord Hanuman removes all the sufferings of his devotees. This year, the festival of Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated on 8 April 2024.
Auspicious time for Hanuman Jayanti 2024:
1. Hanuman Jayanti 2024 Full Moon Date Start – On 16 April at 12:01 noon.
2. Hanuman Jayanti 2024 full moon date ends – On 17th April at 8:04 am.
Importance of Hanuman Jayanti:
According to the scriptures, Lord Hanuman was born on this day. Hanuman ji is considered the 11th Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva. Hanuman ji’s father’s name was Kesari and mother’s name was Anjana. Ram devotee Hanuman is also called Chiranjeevi which means never dying. Other names of Hanuman ji are Bajrangbali, Pawansut, Mahavir, Balibima, Anjanisut, Sankat Mochan, Anjaneya, Maruti and Rudra.
On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, devotees go to the temple and worship Bajrangbali with the law. Also, on this day Hanuman ji is offered as Bhog of vermilion and Prasad of Bundi. This day is considered very special for Hanuman devotees.
Hanuman Jayanti Puja Method:
1. Brahmacharya is specially taken care of in the worship of Hanuman ji. Therefore, one day before Hanuman Jayanti, one should observe celibacy.
2.Remember Lord Rama on the day of Hanuman Jayanti. And install the idol of Lord Rama, Sita and Hanuman at the outpost.
3. Burn jasmine oil lamp in front of Hanuman ji and offer red flowers, chola and vermilion on them.
4.After offering all things, recite the mantra of Hanuman Chalisa, Hanuman ji and praise of Shri Ram.
5.Take the aarti of Hanuman ji and offer him good-gram offerings. If possible, feed jaggery and gram to the apes on this day.
Hanuman Jayanti Katha(Hanuman Jayanti Story):
According to mythology, the time when the Asuras and the Gods churned the ocean to attain nectar. Then the gods and asuras started quarreling among themselves for nectar. After which Lord Vishnu took the form of Mohini. When Shiva Ji saw Vishnu as a siren, he indulged in lust. At that time Shiva gave up his semen which was established in the womb of Anjana, mother of Hanuman. Bhagwana Hanuman was born from the same womb. It is said that only after the harsh penance of Kesari and Anjana, Shiva gave her the boon of a son.
